Atomic Habits by James Clear

Hi book lovers!!

Happy New Year and Happy New Month!

If you noticed, we had the same book for December and January. That was actually intentional.

First of all, “The promised land” is a pretty voluminous book, so I figured we needed more time to read it.
Secondly, I just felt we needed a pseudo break in January to reflect, think, and get into the spirit of the new year.

So now, we’re back and officially starting with a great book!! ????

Trust me when I say this book is a real G, I mean it!!!

And it’s such a good book to start the year with because it talks about building habits. And we need to develop good habits, or break away with bad habits to achieve our goals.
This books delves into the science behind how habits are formed, and gives practical steps on how to utilize that science to form good habits, and break bad ones.

It was difficult to pick just one favorite quote so I’m going to share a few of my favorite quotes from the book.

“Success is not a goal to reach or a finish line to cross. It is a system to improve, an endless process to refine.”

“You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems…
Your goal is your desired outcome. Your system is the collection of daily habits that will get you there”

“Breakthrough moments are often the result of many previous actions, which build up the potential required to unleash a major change”

“Many people think they lack motivation when what they really lack is clarity.”

“We are so focused on figuring out the best approach that we never get around to taking action”

I’m sure you’re already eager to get into the book just by reading the quotes?
So let’s get into it ????

And as usual, leave your thoughts, questions, things you have learnt, or are learning from the book in the comment section. I’ll love to read them??
