Our book of the month this July is “Where the Crawdads sing” by Delia Owens.
This book is at once a coming of age story and a murder mystery with a sprinkle of romance. The perfect summer read combo!

It tells the story of a young girl, Kya, abandoned by her family at a very young age and her journey and adventures through growing up and surviving alone in a marshy area in North Carolina.

This book is very beautifully written and Delia Owens words and descriptions capture you and imerses you into the world of Kya the marsh girl.

There is a movie adaptation of this book coming to the cinema this month so try to finish reading the book before watching the movie because you know what they say about movie adaptations??
